The Santa Fe Farmers Market Institute ensures that foods and goods sold at the market are locally grown and produced. Founded in 2002 the Institute maintains the 80 year lease from the city of Santa Fe that comprises the grounds and the market facility. The Santa Fe Farmers Market itself has been around since 1968 and is one of the largest in the country.
