PUMP IT UP!

After decades of thinking about setting up a system like this, I'm happy to report I finally did it, so now I get to work my upper body for a purpose--pumping harvested water without electricity!

Below is ugly "BEFORE" shot.

During...I collected this discarded wooden box from an arroyo. It was evidently used in a theater production to carry a king.

Manual pump puts water in this old tank that used to reside in the chicken coop.

Here's where the water goes into the temporaty holding tank.

Here's where the water heads to the garden.

The pump that I got from http://www.lehmans.com has a simple control valve.

I've set it up so that I can move it to other locations in the future

And here are some shots of what it's watering.

All via gravity.
